1:1 Parent Mentoring
1:1 Child & Parent Behaviour Support Sessions
Not every family needs a full assessment straight away. Our 1:1 sessions give parents individualised, practical mentoring for a specific challenge — delivered as single hourly sessions or as a multi-week mentoring package, online or in person, and built around what's actually happening in your home this month, not a generic programme.
What Happens During Your Assessment
The process begins with your free 30-minute consultation, where we listen to what's happening and agree whether this package is the right fit. From there:
Managing Anxiety
Anxiety often sits underneath behaviours that look like defiance, meltdowns or avoidance — a child refusing school, a sudden refusal to leave the house, or a spiral that seems to come from nowhere. We work with you to recognise anxiety in its many disguises, understand your child's specific triggers, and build a toolkit of practical, in-the-moment responses alongside longer-term strategies that reduce anxiety's grip over time.
Emotional Regulation
Big emotions aren't the problem — the absence of tools to move through them is. We help you understand your child's regulation profile (what dysregulates them, what helps them recover, and what to avoid doing in the moment that unintentionally makes things harder) and build a practical regulation plan you can use at home, in the car, or wherever the moment happens.
Routines & Transitions
Mornings, bedtimes, screen-time endings, moving between activities — transitions are one of the most common flashpoints for families we work with. We help you build routines that reduce friction rather than fight it, using visual supports, predictable structure and language that works with your child's processing style, not against it.
Family Stability
Behaviour support isn't just about the child — it's about the whole family system around them, including siblings, co-parents, and your own capacity to keep going. We talk openly about the toll this can take, and build plans that consider the whole household, not just the presenting behaviour, so support at home is consistent and sustainable for everyone in it.
How Sessions Work
Sessions can include parent consultation, school consultation, in-person observation, practical feedback and implementation support. Because every family's situation is different, sessions are quoted individually based on the level of support required, whether it's a single session or a multi-week mentoring package, online or in person, and any preparation or follow-up work needed.
