Hive Foundations: Behaviour Support That Starts With You

At The Behaviour Hive, we believe that behaviour support doesn't begin in the clinic—it begins at home, in the classroom, and in the relationships children trust most. That's why we created Hive Foundations, a flexible training programme designed to empower parents, caregivers, and support staff with the tools and strategies they need to help children thrive.

What Is Hive Foundations?

Hive Foundations is a series of evidence-based behaviour training sessions developed by a Chartered Psychologist and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Our training helps you understand why behaviours happen, how to respond effectively, and what to do to create lasting positive change.

Who Is It For?

This training is designed for anyone supporting a child with behavioural needs:

🟡 Parents and guardians

🟡 Grandparents and extended family

🟡 Foster carers and childminders

🟡 Special Needs Assistants (SNAs)

🟡 Teachers and support staff

Whether you're facing daily meltdowns, seeking to improve routines, or simply want to better understand your child’s behaviour, Hive Foundations is here to help.

Two Ways to Access Training

1. Join Our Group Sessions

We run live online group trainings throughout the year on a rotating calendar. These interactive sessions cover core topics in behaviour and give you the opportunity to learn alongside other families, ask questions, and build your support network.

  • Access our training calendar to see upcoming dates

  • Book directly online in minutes

  • Includes handouts and digital resources for home use

2. Book a Private 1:1 Training

Prefer something more tailored? We offer private online training sessions for individuals, families, or staff teams. These sessions allow you to go deeper into your child’s needs and ask specific questions in a confidential space.

  • Book at a time that suits you

  • Receive personalised guidance

What You’ll Learn

Each Hive Foundations session focuses on helping you build skills you can use immediately:

  • Understanding the "why" behind behaviours

  • Reducing meltdowns and challenging behaviours
